As we all watched the Occupy Movement erode, and as I witnessed an emotional force there more interested in opposition than support, which is of course the nature of emotional force, I returned my focus to alternative pathways. In 2012, I began researching the possibility of creating a "time bank" as a tool for crowdsourcing support for all positive avenues to a future of sustainable prosperity - and by facilitating all approaches, even ones in apparent opposition to each other, finding a common ground that intrinsically disarms demagoguery.

My first approach to creating this structure was crowdfunding with a focus on identifying persons whom support the concept. This was putting the cart ahead of the horse, in the sense that funds are a generic structure that first needs an organization to fund, and consequently I found little interest in funding the concept before broad and deep interest was demonstrable. Thus, in late 2012, I established a discussion group and page on Facebook to facilitate networking support, and began organizing pledges of time, rather than money, to the time bank as a tool for empowering ourselves and each other to build a sustainable future, selecting a membership of 1000 as a goal, which goal was recently achieved.

With the help of an open and transparent discussion at our Facebook board, I've now selected the software and hosting service for the Reconomy Global Timebank. We were fortunate to have the help of some of the leaders and experts in alternative economics along the way and through this final process. The members of our Timebank are pledged to support sustainable development and especially at the community level, and the software will enable us to create and manage independent community time bank and currency systems.

The organizational structure of this time bank is democratic, and my own role as creator and caretaker will be phased out such that the tool works as a pathway for many visions. My own focus regarding the time bank will be to support local currency systems that discount renewable energy when purchased with their local money, which is a project that has support from some of the leading progressive voices today as well as from many of the persons pledged to support this Timebank.

The Reconomy Global Timebank will be up and running in the very near future. All are welcome to participate.

For more information, you can visit our pledge page at https://www.causes.com/peoplepower, our group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/peoplemoney, our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ReconomyGlobalCooperative, and our website at http://reconomy.net.
Commentary: Government Violence: The Missing Link in the Gun Control Debate

January 2, 2013
By John W. Whitehead

“We need to look more closely at a culture that all too often glorifies guns and violence.”—President Barack Obama

~

It didn’t take long for the tragedy of the Newtown, Connecticut shootings, which left 20 schoolchildren and six adults dead, to be co-opted by politicians and special interest groups alike, all eager to advance their ideas about how to prevent another deranged madman from taking innocent lives. President Obama is calling on Congress to issue gun control legislation that would limit access to assault weapons. The National Rifle Association (NRA) wants armed guards patrolling every school in America. Legislators in several states, including Florida, want to allow teachers to carry guns on school grounds. Others are clamoring for a lockdown of the schools, complete with metal detectors and guard dogs.

To our detriment, we have revisited this scenario in the wake of every school shooting since 12th graders Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold walked into Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, and opened fire, killing 12 classmates and one teacher. Yet in the midst of widespread finger pointing (not even violent movies, crime dramas and violent video games have been spared) and calls for reform of the mental health care system and gun control, not a word has been said about the greatest perpetrator of violence in American society and around the world—the U.S. government.

Violence has become our government’s calling card, starting at the top and trickling down, from President Obama’s “kill list,” which relies on drones to target insurgents, to the more than 80,000 SWAT team raids carried out every year on unsuspecting Americans by heavily armed, black-garbed commandos and the increasingly rapid militarization of local police forces across the country. We even export violence worldwide, with one of this country’s most profitable exports being weapons.

Thus, any serious discussion about minimizing the violence in our society needs to start with the government and its tendency to use violence as a means to an end, whether in matters of foreign policy or domestically, deploying heavily armed agents to enforce a myriad of arcane, bureaucratic regulations that impinge on Americans simply going about their business, such as the goat farmers whose homes were raided by SWAT teams with the Food and Drug Administration, or those attempting to exercise their constitutional rights such as the Occupy protesters who were subjected to all manner of violence.

It is no coincidence that the assault weapons used by killer Adam Lanza were military-grade weapons. These weapons, commonly wielded in video games, action movies and by invading SWAT teams, go hand in hand with the steady diet of violence that permeates everything in our culture. What is more significant, however, is that these weapons are not just the stuff of celluloid fantasy. In the hands of government agents, whether they are members of the military, law enforcement or some other government agency, these weapons have become routine parts of America’s day-to-day life, a byproduct of the rapid militarization of law enforcement over the past several decades. Over the course of 30 years, police officers in jack boots holding assault rifles have become fairly common in small town communities across the country.

This is what happens when you turn a nation into a police state: weapons become accepted instruments of tyranny, whether in the hands of government agents or in the hands of raging lunatics.

Much of this can be traced to the government’s so-called “War on Drugs,” which opened the door for police to be equipped with military weapons. In 1981, Congress passed the Military Cooperation with Law Enforcement Act, enabling the military to share equipment, training, and intelligence with local police. In 1997, Congress approved the 1033 Program, which allows the Secretary of Defense to transfer surplus military supplies and weapons—everything from surplus assault rifles to mini-tanks, grenade launchers, and remote controlled robots—to local police agencies without charge. Since 1997, more than 17,000 police agencies have taken advantage of the 1033 Program, acquiring $2.6 billion dollars worth of weapons and equipment, and demand is only getting higher. In fact, a record-setting $500 million worth of equipment was distributed in 2011, twice the amount given away in 2010.

This armory of weaponry designed for war is not limited to local law enforcement agencies. All levels of government, including regulatory agencies within the federal government, are in possession of high-powered weapons designed to wreak havoc on the battlefield. For example, in March 2012, defense contractor ATK agreed to produce 450 million hollow point rounds to be used by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office. DHS placed another order for 750 million rounds of various ammunition in August 2012. In August 2012, the Social Security Administration (SSA) placed an order for 174,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition. The SSA plans to send the ammunition to 41 locations throughout the United States, including major cities such as Los Angeles, Detroit, and Philadelphia, among others.

No wonder many Americans are armed to the hilt. Many feel the need to protect themselves against their own government, whose arsenal only keeps growing and whose steady encroachments on civil liberties have resulted in a climate of surveillance wherein 1.7 billion communications between Americans, whether email, text, or phone call, are intercepted by the government daily, not to mention the impact of overcriminalization, which has rendered otherwise law-abiding individuals as lawbreakers for such mundane acts as holding Bible studies at home, making and sharing unpasteurized goat cheese with friends, and growing rare varieties of orchids.

Our culture’s fundamental loss of morality doesn’t help matters, either. Making the case that a government lacking in morality which fails to abide by its own laws is essentially inviting anarchy, acclaimed filmmaker Oliver Stone, co-author of The Untold History of the United States, argues, “Can we kill Bin Laden without having to bring him to trial, can we just get it done? And that ‘get it done’ mentality justifies the ends and that is where countries go wrong, and people go wrong. All of our lives are moral equations. Does the end justify the means? No, it never did.”

There are no easy answers. Clearly, if someone really wants to wreak havoc, they'll find a way to obtain a weapon. Placing armed guards in every school in the country, as the NRA suggests, would merely heighten the culture of violence and contribute to a school environment that is already in lockdown mode. Indeed, as the Washington Post recognizes, there is evidence that the presence of armed guards in schools actuallyincreases the chances of violent incidences occurring.

However, if President Obama, Congress and the American people really want the country to reconsider their relationship with guns and violence, then it needs to start with a serious discussion about the role our government has played and continues to play in contributing to the culture of violence. If the American people are being called on to scale back on their weapons, then the government and its cohorts—the military, the defense industry, the special interest groups, etc.—need to do the same. We owe it to the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary and Columbine High School and the victims of every other senseless act of gun violence in this country to do more than score political points off each other. If we’re serious about real change, it needs to start at the top.

We are in the midst of a political nightmare and I am committed to being an articulate voice of indignation in the next 58 days. As a veteran I never raised my oath to protect and defend bullshit or horse shit. I refuse to stop using those utterances of profanity because speaking nice, calmly and rationally to this insane economic political American conversation is waste of the human breath. Indignation is not anger nor rage, its a stance as a human being that says "No I refuse to participate any longer in a corrupted, unjust, raging raping and abuse in a community standrad practice. Saying "no" means "no" and there is no compromising. I may end up isolated, alone and homeless, its better than eating another crumb of bullshit (Vatican Papal Bulls Creations 1492) or ignoring another moment full accountable for King George's horse shit as an American idiot who says "God was talking to him." King George is in need of emergence medical technicians he's psychotic!

This post today is a response to a petition regarding God in America. WOW! Talk about an oxymoronic notion in a cultural matrix of ignorance. I am supporting President Obama re-election and the last time I actively supported a campaign was "Barry Commoner 3rd Middle Rail Citizen Party" in 1980 with a platform for a new renewable energy grid, full employment and biological earth science platform to design new cultural innovations in political system through education. The day of the election Barry's New York City radio ad said "Bullshit there is another choice Barry Commoner." Barry got 1% of the National vote and I still think it was the best platform I ever observed in American politics. Imagine if we had adopted the notion in 1980 where would be today?

My intention in this post to fire a public RPG at the Vatican's irresponsibility for poverty in the world and bring attention to the Discovery Doctrine operating this Romney Cabal of Capitalistic Insanity in the history of western civilization. The four points included in the post will be my mantra between now and the 2012 November election. I submit the "Occupy Movement" needs a face lift and an identity make over. As a leaderless body, diverse voices and nobody's in the movement I intend to raise living hell in 2012. This is it regarding my political elective engagement in American politics and this is a crucial election for everyone in the world. I intend to return to my private hut in 2013 and forget ever being an accidental activist in American bullshit by a bunch of cowboy horse shit.

PETITION: put prayers back in our schools

I disagree with this petition for the following reasons:

1st, Christian fundamentalists have become a total living abortion to having any sense of Christian reality or truth to real prayer in silence, solitude, sacredness, secretly in the heart of man. Christian Fundamentalists today are politically based fundamentally on America's founding fathers notion of "deism" or Roman Catholic Discovery Doctrine of Papal Bulls who created poverty in globalization and this current economic nightmare. Fundamentalist's Christians have turned the Republican Party's new improved mixture of politics and religion into a GOP apocalyptic sect of crazy people hell-bent on destroying the earth and it's people based on their own delusions of what is evil in my honest assessment.

The GOP is a very dangerous out of control political movement with unlimited financial resources that can literally destroy our civil society based in inclusion, justice and equality, under the guise of unrestrained liberty of individuals including now corporations that live forever. Until money gets out politics the rich can use fanatics and patriotism and religious passions on ignorant citizens in coercive deceptive political imperial arrogant aggressive actions. King George proved it in his reign of terror 2000 to 2008 by taking a $5 trillion surplus and balance budget, and giving it to his constituency as a tax cut, starting two major conflicts on credit creating $5 trillion in national debt, and throwing a going away party by giving the US Treasury to Goldman Sachs (Banks TBTF). While setting up a "Niger called Obama" to be the fall guy within a racist American society suffering from selective amnesia in politics and American history. King George claimed to be talking to God and praying daily. If that is prayer and what this petition is about? Let King George come here and promote it and defend the notion. I honesty assess him as the triadic epitome of a "Naked Emperor, Village Idiot and Humpty Dumpty" and NOTICE how he was nowhere to be seen at the GOP convention? Demanding prayers or God in this American Constitutional dysfunctional frame of referencing is coercive deceptive manipulative political behavior "Stop IT."

2nd, my natural ethical reasoning of Deism in American Founder's is they were totally ungrounded assumptions that today is viewing the world in a clockwork fashion of Newtonian physics and economic theory of greed; that is now called God. This notion has created a mess globally largely because of a Discovery Doctrine (1492) and the Christian fundamentalist's ungrounded views of a creator. The Reagan Trickle Down theory that distributive money to the wealthy trickle downs to others is truly voodoo economics. The facts are in watch “The End of Poverty” and the wealthy just become more arrogant and aggressive in their "NEO~LIBERALISM ECONOMIC INSANITY of FREE MARKET CAPITALISM” based in high risk financing wanting more power, greed and governmental deregulations and privatization of our community assets we own as a people. It's time to stop it and "Occupy Earth" in solidarity as humanity.

Never mind our children experience slavery in this robotic notion of an Economic Father God for all eternity. This indoctrinated belief system claims "Governance is the Problem. Yes, the GOP is right, and the progressive party defending civil justice, environment and equality has lost its balls and voice as a party by buying into money in civil politics in elections. The Democrats bought into the Neo Liberal Economic notions when Bill Clinton balanced the budget and unleashed deregulation of Wall Street by repealing Glass-Steagall, and ending any government regulation on derivatives thereby creating the debacle of credit default swaps as a free market capitalistic solution. The action has aggravated the financial condition and given more power to financiers to control political elections and legislative policies. The political action is a viral immoral greed operating algorithms in milliseconds that has no ethical responsibility to persons, companies or nations. It's literally killing us. The American Financial Industry (40% of GNP) has infected the disease of greed within the entire global financial structure in the world creating untold human suffering in masses of peoples worldwide. Never mind poor people who exist in marginalized unseen worlds with no representation or concern and addressed with Christian charity that me sick to my stomach in the cordial hypocrisy in social relations.

Injecting religion into this current American debate in 2012 is like throwing jet fuel on a blazing fire out of control already, and claiming your putting it out when it fact you want to destroy the entire theater. Politicians and manufactured media pundits doing this make the recent Colorado Mass Murderer look a saint because their paid to produce this deceptive coercive rhetoric is causing the ultimate disaster worldwide; a suicidal ignorant determinant ending life on the planet in the name of God.

3rd, until the crazy maniacal lunatics in the GOP recognize either some factual understanding of basic arithmetic, or basic science courses in history, biology, chemistry and life sciences, and a alien water boarding experience in ethical constructive appreciative inquiry and dialog. There is no way in hell to have a conversation committed to ‘a’ rational manner of civil debate? We the people in America and around the world are stuck in divisive suffering in a polarized fragmented dysfunctional adolescent immature behavior of bullshit politicians as a nation and a threat to global citizenry worldwide. We are the enemy!

For any rational logical ethical human being to not be aware today of earth sciences exponential factual evidence of predatory chaos in economics, disintegration of biosphere daily in climate change, degradation of living systems sustainability in the next 20 years, and the creative collapsing disasters happening in the global political leadership crisis operating in denial, lying and criminal behaviors, are dead fish floating on a toxic superfund dump and should be ignored regardless of their projected faith or passions of patriotism.

We have a serious human ecological problem happening in communication. Like in Cool Hand Luke "What we have here is a communication problem." Shoot me I refuse to shut up! No one listens to one another and everyone is arming themselves with guns (especially the Christian fanatics wearing holster's to church in self important ignorant arrogance as so called disciples of Christ, imagine that!), pray with one hand and shoots everybody around you in arrogant racist aggression! This dialog in American politics makes Gettysburg look like picnic. I guess the winner is the one with the most bullets. What about people like myself, an American veteran, that abhors guns and killing? Who in this society is protecting me in this insanity? Praying is cheap, shedding real blood isn't fun and games, and I am indignant with right ring high financiers claiming to be patriots. Good follow the pattern in WWII and let's tax you 90% to pay for King George's two wars. The rich made a lot of money out of those $5 trillion expenditures. Pay up or shut up is my demand as an ethical American veteran.

While we at it let’s deal with Obamacare and the Insurance Industry. If injured veterans defending this “Neo Liberal Capitalistic Free Market” can shed their blood and the injured are treated in the socialized Veteran Administration Healthcare System; why isn’t this “single payer system of blood on the battlefield” good enough for the rest of the patriotic citizenry claiming appreciation and gratitude for the military? Veterans are guinea pigs for universities, best practices and pharma industry; why not experiment on the politicians and financiers families and children who create wars? I am for a single payer system held in mutual trust by the citizenry and reducing healthcare long term cost by at 10% of the current GNP while caring for every American citizen like no government in the worlds history has ever done. Health and well being is about caring not money, and deep inside this tragedy of commons is the heart of the American citizenry and we do care for one another and are sick, ill, disgusted and barfing our brains at political bullshit and horseshit. Stop It before we loose our temper!

4th, I know ancient indigenous people who are also Christians, and they are confused with Christianity’s view of human dignity, its an emotional contradiction, they experience genocide as a people and of the earth; land, air, streams, insects, fishes, animals and birds in the biosphere face ignorant extinction in the almighty name of your God's modern progress going faster, better, and cheaper going nowhere really. My friends pray sincerely all the time without any priest craft, actually revere knowing love in natural law in oral utterances, caring concern, and know better than to ever use anyone's faith or belief in their social wisdom continuum as a demand for obedience and negating of another in coexistence. They are humble aliens to your petition . Do birds pray when signing at the break of dawn? Are whales operating in faith and do they have a right to call the oceans home? Does Monsanto now run nature and justify genetic manipulations on Christian notions of charity? Of course they own the grasses, crops and cattle throughout the world?

We live in mega autopoietic complex diversity and human beings are not the only creatures that need respected and dignity in the web of life? If anything human beings are parading around in costumes claiming to speak for God, using him as a transcendental power demanding obedience, and they need to shut up and learn humility. I am advocating a bill of rights for all living systems to have dignity in the web of life. I live within a living pulsating generative biosphere, and pray for solidarity in a Homosphere that adopting the Earth Charter as a primary declaration of a new creative commons as global ethical citizenry committing to scientific appreciative inquiry and dialog and designing heaven on earth, not fundamentalist notions of worlds to come in ungrounded fantasy notions of God in any belief system and all faiths. “Stop It.”

Good invitation, wrong venue and I am deeply committed to prayer that I have just accomplished out loud in the four distinctions offered by declining participation in this petition. Please feel free to broadcast in the Twittering Universe and I welcome ontological appreciative conversations in this regard.

Let's celebrate its one year anniversary with a single candle and new scientific global agreed upon distinction in the lexicon of every language for the political economic governance discourse of absolute and total "Bullshit" happening! The Occupy Movement is a clarion call for our humanness to engage in direct participative Democracy worldwide and mainly springing forth from the NINJA Generation (No Income, No Job or Assets) yet by an large these rebellious youth are tech~savy social networkers, left of center unemployed colledge graduates, and young people disenchanted with bullshit encouraging wide spread questioning of taken for granted bullshit in education, politics, religion and commerical western horseshit business~as~usual.

Let's declare War and Peace on this universal bullshit as an "Earth Voice" and in mutual liberation of our humanness celebrate the Occupy Movement advancement in the "Occupy Cafe's Appreciative Critique, Inquiry and Dialog of the Global Patriarchal Plutocracy." Under OUR free energized influence we are confronting the factual grounded evidence of Wall Street's Wealthy Global Flow of 1%ers demanding accountability, and new standards of integrity in a distorted Democratic politics based in high risk affecting our lives , an ownership elite coercive deceptive arrogance and aggression on notions of justice and equality, and challenging like real American Jeffersonian Patriots the prevailing political banking discourse that assumes the right for generations to come to continue this enslaving bullshit of unjust inequality based in the power of OUR PURSE!

If there is every was a moment in OUR HISTORY for unified solidarity as global citizens, not just bible thumping Christians packing guns, it's right now! This 2012 Election is a "Balls to the Wall" affair in determining if the world will even be a Democracy in 2013, much less what may happen to credit ratings, social nets and potential anarchy of Ayn Rand's notion of American Exceptionalism where individualism and subjective relativist selfishness is the new order. Never mind the years of women fighting for the vote, blacks being freed as slaves, unions protecting the workplace, we are returning to the Founding Father's Deity notions and there is no such thing as science or climate change, just "Drill Baby Drill."

What American's are about to encounter 24/7 for next 70 days is absolute total bullshit by a bunch of chicken shit American politicians who's only agreed upon self interest is to maintain the power of divisionary discourse, confusion based in millisecond complexities of dirivatives credit default swaps and sercuratation of global financiers in a neoliberalism now called Republicans who can buy the White House. The incompetence of corporate manufactured media pundits is breathtaking as the political savages and power mongers of lawyers and loggyists disruptive any semblance of civil discourse for the American people. Bullshit is the logical rational distinction for such western horse shit.

I say "Bullshit" to this entire public conversation, its all bullshit being spoon fed by corporate media plutocracy bullshit ownership and financed by Wall Street's Arrogant Ass Hole Quants Bullshit. If you are offended by "Bullshit" please pack your bags and leave America because we have literally become a Nation of Bullshitter's. To be an American today you must eat, drink, wear, relate, communicate, slave and sleep in bullshit. Bullshit is literally defining the American Dream of Exceptionalism in OUR WORLD. People form around the world feel it, smell it, hear it when we open our deceptive coercive mouths, die from it, laugh at it as a joke turning into morphed George Carlin's laughter in every language, and now are fed up with American ignorant collective arrogant aggressive bullshit.

I admit recently I broke down, ended my peaceful fast, I watched TV by sampling a few speakers of this western cowboy horseshit of the Republican Party. Low and behold the mystery surprise secret guest, Clint Eastwood, took the cake at the party! This one man certainly summed up the Republican ignorant horse shit last night declaring the truth finally "We Own America." Having grown up with this Hollywood Icon Dirty Harry "Make My Day" bullshit (I think I learned to talk like this from his movies) and having wasted a fortune in the theater buying pop corn supporting this arrogant aggressive bullshit, I think I was transformed miraculously into Dirty Harry last night! Clint's horse shit made me outraged at this man's audacity to claim ownership of all the bullshit and not be responsible, accountable or have a thread of integrity as a human being for the real time pure play suffering happening in his surrounding universe.

A closing note to this iconic idiot who I once considered a caring person until last night. Clint in a few days your gonna die and end up in that Hollywood casket you made money on when I bought a ticket to support your artisitc endeavors in what I understood as your last movie. The real BIG SURPRISE is you are going to discover that you don't own shit, never have, never will and all the shit that passed through that ignorant head of yours and greedy hands, did just that, pass right through it and ownership is a myth. There was no ownership on your part. You screwed the graceful giver last night in public by not being humble for all the wonderful grace you were given by others not you. And you are going to come face to face with this arrogant aggressive horse shit as a rough tough cowboy. I promise that the casket you created in the "Grand Torino" was the end of your career. You should of shut up and entering politics was the worst mistake you ever made in your life and probably the best honest Oscar performance every recieved from Disneyland by the American public. What is really sad is the Grand Torino movie depicts the PTSD chaos in the soulful presence of a Viet Nam Veteran protecting immigrants from terrorizing gangland criminals.

Look who you defended and promoted last night. The Wall Street bubble bust in 2008 was more than a quadrillion dollars. The financial market accounted for over 40% of US corporate profits. The "Too Big Too Fail" consolidated power placing us under a greater risk today than ever before. The top 1%ers made out like bandits and the 1% within the 1%ers did disproportionately well crafting and sculpting the schemes in the playbook throughout the world. Unlike the Great Depression this crisis was entirely the product of the financial free market system with losses of $4 trillion equating to 10% of the worlds annual income. Losses of input to goverance systems of the people have amounted to trillions of dollars in a recovery that has barely started to recover. ALL the checks and balances failed in a comprehensive fashion due to King George's notions of tax cuts and fighting two wars on credit, while handing over the US Treasury to Goldman Sachs as a going away party. The bailouts reinforced the already bad incentives of privatization in the financial system and the behavior of the financial market sector has not changed at all as a result of the crisis. They are actually preparing an encore presentation as we speak. Those are facts not assumptive notions of Micky Mouse living in Disneyland.

In the end of your life I see a man that never encountered a real battlefield or took a heroic risk other than living in Disneyland. The people who REALLY OWN America are in graves of veterans who sacrificed their lives to give you the right to lie and be cute, and a cynical old man. Men and women are dying on battlefields today dreaming about a new world order of beauty, freedom, independence, friendship and self regulating dignity as a manner of living for future generations. Whatever honor, grace or valor you represented in the stupidities of my own mind was burned up instantly last night when your arrogant aggressive humorous cynical deceptive bullshit defended the crimminality of Wall Street Executives who should be thrown into jail immediately. I know cowboys and your no cowboy in my book. Yea, a liar and in the last moments of your living lie you actually shared the real cowboy and believe me its the epitaph that your going to die with because we have it on film. Your just another rich Hollywood bastard in my book and you don't really care about anything other than your own horse shit.

My father who is 90 years old, a WWII Vet and a 100% permanent service connected disabled veteran today fought in Operation Torch, lost a brother in WWII, and as a babyboomer he taught me to stand up in the midst of bullshit and say stop it. Your an old depressed mean bully on the adolescent playground, shame on you for ridiculing our President and adding fuel to our enemies. He also taught me to have dignity for the Office regardless of the man. Obama has had nothing but indignity from the day he started and obstruction frpm Republicans continually. It's remarkable we still have a credit rating at all. My grandfather knew Vaughn Monroe in Gennette Pennslyvania. My brothers in arms from the Viet Nam Era are heading for the camp up North where we will meet and celebrate once again what was given freely to others in blood by a tyrant named Richard Nixon and a leadership crisis that has morphed into total absolute bullshit in the Republican Party. This militarism based in greed is over and dead on arrival in the 21st century. And here is a song I sing "Ghost Riders in the Sky" coming to your inner theater to wake you up here or there.

See in the real camp where this horse shit is all over.

Dear fellow occupiers,

Following up on the discussion this morning, I'd like to propose that we start a process to agree on a clear, forceful, subversive version of the vision we share but for which are still searching for language. I propose that it have four propositions, which are elaborated for all to see on the Roadmap pages on our website at Metta. Simply, these are the four that emerged for me during this morning's discussion:

All life is one. The interconnectedness that we see in the outside world, e.g. in ecology (and which we are violating at our peril), is a reflection of the radical unity within.

This becomes clear when we realize that we are conscious beings primarily, and not merely material, separate bodies doomed to compete for scarce resources.

Our fulfillment is not from outside us, but from tapping the infinite resources we have within us.

Conflict is an opportunity to grow in relationships and understanding, not to defeat "others."

Many of us are experimenting with versions of this story. I look forward to hearing your reactions, as we search around for a way to collect responses to the Roadmap.

For Peace and Freedom,

This is pretty interesting. Take the quiz and see who you align most with based on the issues. I took it twice (based on a couple ways I could lean) and both resulted in Gary Johnson and Jill Stein far in the lead (I guess I could live with either).
