The chance to bring ideas together in one place. Even though one of the keys to a more just world is changing from competition to co-operation, NGOs can be guilty of competing with each other too.
Welcome, John! Yes, more cooperation is certainly part of humanity's New Story. And this is a place where we are building a community of people who want to bring their ideas together around how we can live into that. I also like "coopetition," where we compete to see who can best serve the common good!
It's a great theme for a week's worth of dialogue in the Cafe. Who do we know who can tell a story of coopetition emerging in a powerful way? I can think of at least one person I just met at the NCDD conference...
It's a fascinating inquiry, John. Your comment reaffirms my sense that a rich conversation is waiting to be had. Maybe we can bring this over to the Sacred Economics thread that is underway and get a few more folks into to mix.
