Over the last 20 years I have heard a lot of talk, seen documentaries and Youtube videos on the topic of the Mayan Doomsday date of December 21, 2012. Although many of the theories that people have may sound possible, I believe we will all be waking up in our beds on December 22, 2012, that is if we don't die of natural causes, accidents or violent crime first.

I do believe, however, that 2012 may be the year that we may see the end of the world as we know it. Due to present conditions and trends one of two things may happen. First, we could see as a result of the 99% rising up and becoming a force to reckon with, a new golden age may dawn and true Democracy will prevail. The economy will be restored and resources will become more available as well as jobs for anyone who is willing to work.

On the other hand, we could see economic collapse, World War III and a hellish police state if enough people just sit on their hands and do nothing. A new Dark Age is still very possible. The prophecies of St. John, Daniel, Ezekiel may still come to be in their full nightmarish forms.

The 1% would be the driving force to create this nightmare because the more people are subdued, beaten down and trodden over, the more powerful they become. Many people believe the 1% have secret societies that they plot and scheme to have world domination like the infamous Skull and Bones and the Illuminati Society, etc. Although I have not seen any evidence of this personally, I do not doubt the existence of these elitist organizations.

The prophecies do not have to happen, we have the power to postpone them.

That is why I believe that in 2012 we all must do our part to spread the word, wake up the apathetic people out of their sweet slumber and act now. Stand up and fight for our rights and freedoms, but not violently, for that would only appease the 1% and justify more violence.

2012 can be the end of life as we know it. It can be the beginning of better days, or it can be the beginning of our worst fears. The choice is ours to make now on this New Years Eve.
CALL JOHN BOEHNER'S OFFICE (202) 225-0600tag:www.occupycafe.org,2011-12-22:6451976:BlogPost:189332011-12-22T11:42:15.000Zindiana.activisthttp://www.occupycafe.org/profile/indianaactivist

The immortal words of Jesus says "Judge not ... and ye shall not be judge by your own measures." When I see this scripture I believe that he is speaking about judging the condition of a person's soul; judging on a spiritual level. If I point at a man and say, that man is going to hell because he's a thief, an adulterer, etc. then I am guilty of judging.

When I see this scripture I believe that he is speaking about judging the condition of a person's soul; judging on a spiritual level. If I point at a man and say, that man is going to hell because he's a thief, an adulterer, etc. then I am guilty of judging.

However If I see a man running out of a bank with a mask on carrying a bag of loot while the alarms are going off, I can call that man a thief. If I see a man entering a motel room with another man's wife at 3 a.m. while he's grabbing her butt and kissing her, knowing that the woman is married and the man is to, I can safely assume that he/she is committing adultery. Speaking of these incidents, saying or not saying names is not judging. Instead it is called pointing out the obvious. Judging goes at a much deeper level.

I have no right to say if a person is going to heaven, or hell. Only God has that right. I do, however while on this earth have the right to challenge wrongs committed by those people who praise the Lord on Sunday and become cruel to their fellow man on Monday-Saturday. This is not spiritual judging. This is "Social Revolution," a wake-up call to the conservative right.

Cruel and uncaring treatment of the poor, the oppressed, or someone who just don't agree with a persons preconceived standards will no longer be tolerated. I am not alone. There are millions who feel the same as I and we are going to take back our country and make it a fair democracy for all. We are going to bring back love and compassion towards our fellow man, clean up our environment, make healthcare accessible to all without bankrupting people, bring back our manufacturing and force the hand of Wall Street and corporations to stop stealing from and hurting the American people.

If this is anti-Christian, then I am guilty of not being a Christian.
The small town I live in has a population of less than 10,000 and most are poor or in poverty. There is a growing problem in the community of what I call "Class Bigotry" where the poor is viewed as people who play the system and are lazy and just want something for nothing. I cannot count the many times I heard people gossip about their neighbors who draw Social Security for disability. They say "He/She is not disabled ... I saw them mowing their lawn, etc." Also I hear people complaining about people who receive food stamps or get public housing. The funniest one I heard is when someone complains about someone going to a food pantry having a pack of cigarettes in their pocket and a cell phone on their belt.

Often, these people are treated as outcast by other citizens who are poor as well and are too ignorant to know they are brainwashed by the GOP and Fox News Network. The local McDonald's has Fox News playing on a giant flat screen television.

This community needs a lot of help. It's in a lot of ways dying. Worse of all, it's very soul is dying. Any suggestions?
CLASS BIGOTRY ...
Even though I support the efforts of the Occupy Movement, I strongly believe that the biggest way we can change our nation and the world is by learning to care for each other. The argument I hear many people say about those who visit food pantries or seek other aid is that they are playing the system and want something for nothing. Although you may have a few that do that, the majority of people are just struggling and need just a little help. This attitude of turning the nose up at the poor, classifying them as lazy bums is causing people who desperately need help to avoid asking out of fear of the social stigma of being labeled.

In my eye, I see this as a form of bigotry and prejudice just as foul as calling an African American the "N" word or treating people that are down and out like lepers. It disgusts me to see this being carried on, and you would think that this goes on at Wall Street or in the board rooms of major corporations; the answer is no. So where does this go on? Answer, in your places of work, your churches, and in the isles of grocery stores. Especially in churches.

Yes, one would say that the churches are the leaders when it comes to setting up food pantries, missions, soup lines, etc. That is true, but why then do these same churches have parishioners that behave in talking like Klansmen in a KKK rally? Could it be because they are tired? Maybe. The job of helping the poor is a large undertaking, especially when you are only a few dollars away from joining them. Or could it be apathy towards the poor because a person who talks about them makes plenty of money and is comfortable, or does not truly see the real picture?

Now I'm not trying to beat anyone up here. I just want people to start thinking about how they are treating each other. I believe that If we start by changing our attitudes and outlook on others, we can change our neighborhoods, our towns, our states, our nation, and then, Wall Street could possibly change due to there will be enough caring people to go up to them and say NO! YOU WON'T CHEAT YOUR FELLOW MAN ANYMORE!
A GREAT IDEA: EVICT A BANKER DAY :-)tag:www.occupycafe.org,2011-12-11:6451976:BlogPost:169832011-12-11T03:25:52.000Zindiana.activisthttp://www.occupycafe.org/profile/indianaactivist

Hello. If you are reading this now then you are part of the resistance.

Recently, Rick Perry stated in a television commercial that it is not fair that gays have the right to serve openly in the military while children are not allowed to have prayer or Bible studies in public schools.

FACT: Neither President Obama nor the Congress had a hand in allowing gays to serve openly in the military. This was a decision made during a Supreme Court Case earlier this year.

Once again, the GOP is up to its old bag of tricks, using moral and Christian values to win votes while they have no power to deliver their promises. I could go on and tell you how un-Christian the GOP really is, but that would be a waste of my time considering a grade school child could see that.

The only way moral issues can be changed in the manner that the Right-Winged GOP wants is to write amendments to the Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution. To ratify an amendment would take longer that the maximum eight year term limit on the presidency.

The carrots that the GOP holds up to churches are their pledge to stop abortion, bring prayer and Bible Reading back into school, outlaw gay marriages, allow religious practices in government buildings and the display of the ten commandments in court house lawns. These candidates do so knowing that they have no power to deliver what they promise.

One should ask, if the GOP is so concerned for Christian values, then why do their agendas speak otherwise? Why don’t they step in to stop the 1% from screwing over millions of people? Why don’t they pass bills making the 1% pay their fair share in taxes? The answer, because they are part of the 1%. They view the 99% as being sand under their feet and they don’t hesitate to let you know that with their smug, your not worthy to kiss my butt attitudes.

To everyone that reads this I encourage you to write to your local clergy and voice your outrage to this GOP practice, and encourage them not to support the GOP. Speak friendly to them and invite them to join the Occupy Movement, or at least to come to an encampment or go online and listen to us. The churches are not our enemy because they are deceived sheep and unconscious puppets of the GOP.

Until next time, keep up the fight in faith and remember, fate is what you make.
MEDICAL INDUSTRY AND DEBT COLLECTION AGENCIES SHOULD BE NEXT TARGETS FOR OCCUPATION MOVEMENTtag:www.occupycafe.org,2011-12-07:6451976:BlogPost:159642011-12-07T02:45:24.000Zindiana.activisthttp://www.occupycafe.org/profile/indianaactivist

Hello. If you are reading this right now then you are part of the resistance.

I really love reading and hearing about Occupy’s newest plans to occupy foreclosed properties. The foreclosure crisis that hit America in recent years was created by banks’ predatory lending practices. Now the time has come to make them pay. Although I consider this an excellent enterprise for the Occupy Movement to go after banks and Wall Street, there is an even bigger enemy that is largely being ignored at this moment. That enemy is the American Medical Institutions, Pharmaceutical Industries and America’s favorite pariah that aids them, the Debt Collection Agencies.

As many of you know, healthcare in America is unaffordable to the majority of the working class. For example, at the company I work for, health insurance cost $145.00 per week. The average salary of the workers is $9.50 per hour. Most workers are uninsured as a result. If someone gets seriously ill or injured and has to go to the emergency room at any hospital, the minute a doctor say’s “hello” to you automatically are charged over $1,000.00. This is before any actual treatment. Also, hospitals now perform redundant testing to increase your bill.

If you cannot pay your bill to their satisfaction, you are turned over to a collection agency, which is what they say. In reality, the hospital sells your account to a collection agency for pennies on the dollar, which they can afford to do since they charge far more for their services than what is needed. Afterwards, the collector will hound you for the full balance of the debt. They use underhanded tactics to unnerve their victims. If you send them a letter telling them not to contact you by telephone, they will file a lawsuit immediately. The Collection Agencies have lawyers on their payroll full-time to represent them. The common person does not stand a chance and will have to settle out of court for more than the original bill. If they choose to fight without legal representation, they will certainly lose and could have wages garnished or have property seized.

My suggestion to the movement is this. The Hospitals, Medical Insurance Companies and all Debt Collection Agencies should be the next targets of the movement. They need to be hit hard and heavy; the Collection Agencies especially. Many of these Agencies are vulnerable for attack. They should be approached in force and occupied. Also, flood their phone lines. If they cannot call out to collect, they lose daily revenue. Don’t use your home phone to do this unless you block your caller ID. Use public telephones if you can for extra protection.

Keep up the good fight in faith, and remember, fait is what you make.

More and more it has come to my attention that independent media such as newspapers and television is dying. At this present time I work for one of the few remaining independent newspapers in America that has not been bought by one of the corporate chains. This greatly saddens me.

Years ago, journalist were people who worked outside the fringes of society who chronicled stories and events and published them. They were not afraid to speak the truth, regardless who's toes were being stepped on. Now everything's changed. More and more the media is being bought out by corporations who spin stories to suit their agendas, and journalist work with their hands tied. We failed to see the warning signs until it was too late. We looked for censorship to be launched by our government, but instead it came from the corporate business sector who later bought out our government and turned our leaders into puppets.

For anyone who graduates from a school of journalism or any school for media you have two choices if you want to work for the news industry. Choice #1 is to apply and work for a corporate owned business or #2 start your own underground newspaper/website/media service etc. In the 1960s and up to the mid 70s, underground newspapers and magazines called "Zines" were popular, especially in the big cities. Which now leads to my question, what is the future for news media?

I feel that the corporate giants and corporate chains will still dominate the television, news stands and the internet, however, a sleeping giant will emerge. Due to the economy being in recession, many unemployed or underemployed, as well as media graduates not working in their field will begin the old tradition of underground publications. They may have to work other occupations such as retail, or other menial jobs in the meantime to support themselves and fund their underground projects. This of course is not necessarily a bad thing because it could open the door to recognition by those who would be willing to sponsor you and eventually, you will be running your own publishing company.

Eventually many underground news sources will pop up like mushrooms and the big corporate giants will have serious competition for public attention.

So what does this have to do with me? I'm already there. By using blog sites and social media I have already been getting my toes in the waters of the underground media movement that is now beginning to wake up. In years to come, with a lot of hope and effort, my involvement may grow to publishing books or my own magazines or newspapers. Of coarse they would probably be paperless due to the rise in e-reader and tablet pc popularity.

Corporations are the big power ... for now. But LOOK OUT! A sleeping giant has awakened and is filled with a terrible resolve to survive independently and to speak the truth once more.

I know that my blog heading will attract a lot of attention out there and it should. If you read this you will not only learn what just happened to me, but you may receive some good encouragement if this should ever happen to you.

Yesterday, I have done a survey on my Facebook page and discovered that three individuals (two of them were family members) had "unfriended" me from their Facebook pages. This does not surprise me because all three of them were devoted right-wingers who have more than 100 friends each.

On my Facebook page I have been sharing and posting news, information about what has been going on in the Occupy movement along with videos from news outlets like CNN, CBS and RT. These three individuals would always post remarks about some of the things I would share and saying the usual right-wing jargon that the Occupy Movement is a bunch of Lazy Liberals who just want something for nothing or they call us Socialist/Communist, or as Glenn Beck calls it "Progressives." As a result of my continued posting of facts and directly countering their remarks, all three of them have "unfriended me."

The only big hurt I am experiencing out of this is that two of the individuals are my stepdaughter and her right-winged preacher husband. Apparently, both of them have about 200+ friends that they don't want seeing the truth about what is happening in America, or do not want to be embarrassed by their so called "Liberal Step-Father." Personally, I forgive my step-children for doing so and wish them well. Eventually, one way or another they will come to see the truth and will regret what they have done, when the 1% finally come and take away everything they still have, which is not much. The other person ... well, I was surprised he lasted this long without pulling the plug.

Friends, what I just described will happen to you if it hasn't already happened and you need to be emotionally prepared for this. During the Civil War and earlier The Revolutionary War, entire families were split apart because one brother was for the Union while the other was a Confederate, or one was loyal to the new nation and the other loyal to England. Benjamin Franklin, one of our most celebrated forefathers lost his beloved son due to his involvement in the American Revolution. They never spoke again and his son returned to England. What is happening in this nation and world-wide is no exception.

If this happens to you, you will have two choices, continue in the cause and hope they come back or leave the battlefield and chase after them. This is not an easy choice to make. If you choose the latter, no one can blame you because as the saying goes "blood is thicker than water," but you will weaken the movement and the 1% will win if enough people do the same thing. However, if you stay in the fight, there is a chance that your beloved friend or relative will return to your side after the war is over, or may even change their mind and come back. Nobody in the occupy movement should condemn you if you choose to leave due to family, but everyone should encourage you to stay.

Family is one of the leading casualties in war and this war is no different. I hope this helps someone out there who may be experiencing the same thing. Keep your chin up and keep fighting the good fight in faith. A brighter future is possible.
Myths about the Occupy Movementtag:www.occupycafe.org,2011-12-03:6451976:BlogPost:147782011-12-03T02:07:00.000Zindiana.activisthttp://www.occupycafe.org/profile/indianaactivist

MYTH 1: THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WANT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.

FACT: The majority of people who I have seen and heard do not want a hand out but a hand-up. The truth is that the 1% receive millions more in welfare than a single mother who receives a state welfare check. This is called corporate welfare and is suppose to help stimulate the economy and create jobs. It creates jobs all right, in China, India, Mexico, etc. Only a small percentage of the 99% is what I would call lazy bums.

MYTH 2: THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT IS FULL OF RADICAL LIBERALS.

FACT: The Occupy movement has a wide variety of people from every walk of life. There are Liberals, but there are Moderates and Conservatives as well. I would call myself a moderate.

MYTH 3: THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT WANTS COMPLETE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

FACT: There are some people in the movement that would love to see this happen, but the majority of the movement's members just want the 1% to pay their fair share in taxes. Most believe that it's ok to be rich if you earned your wealth honestly, or by winning the lottery, and not on the backs of others through oppressive means, or by cheating and swindling other people in Ponzi schemes, predatory lending, etc.

MYTH 4: THE MEMBERS OF THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT ARE ALL SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST.

FACT: Although there may be some who lean towards socialist views, not everyone in the movement is a socialist/communist. This is a myth created by the right-wing to scare people away from the movement. Whenever someone complains about the rising cost of healthcare or high tuition cost, that person is automatically labeled a Socialist/Communist by many right-wingers. The Occupy Movement on the other hand is a Democracy in action.

MYTH 5: THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT IS ANTI-CHRISTIAN.

FACT: This myth is my biggest pet peeve. There are many Christians in the Occupy Movement. The truth is the Right-Wing movement has hijacked many churches by using irrelevant moral issues to get their candidates elected. Issues such as abortion rights are the territory of the Judicial Branch of the government. No President or member of Congress can overturn Roe vs Wade without the majority approval of the U.S. Supreme Court. However when a right-wing candidate says they are pro-life, many church members flock under their banner, even if the candidate is not qualified for the position. The Occupy Movement is full of Moderate Christians, but also has members of many other faiths and religions as well.

There are many, many more myths about the movement that are being spread around by word of mouth and mainstream media. If you know of any I haven't mentioned, feel free to share them with me. I am always open for a good laugh.
