<p>I came to the Occupy Cafe to see if anyone had posted the sad news. Cheryl Honey died on April 25 of an apparent murder/suicide. It is still under investigation. Cheryl's work of Community Weaving was a gift to the world and her community. I'm very sad to hear of her death.</p>

It builds up the ‘core economy’ of family and community, and redefines work to include activities that often have no value in the market economy, such as caring for children and vulnerable people and making communities stronger, by inviting people to share their skills and time, in return for another’s time or, increasingly, for ‘goodies’.</p>

<p>I realize what I am about to post may not seem directly related to the Occupy movement - BUT for me it is. </p>
<p>This morning I watched a video, "<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DpaO9DNlAF8" target="_blank">No More Shooting and Crying</a>" that affirms all that I think about why war and military occupation is not the answer. </p>
<p>I appreciate that these young people in Israel have found a way to share the message of what war and military occupation…</p>
<p>I realize what I am about to post may not seem directly related to the Occupy movement - BUT for me it is. </p>
<p>This morning I watched a video, "<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DpaO9DNlAF8" target="_blank">No More Shooting and Crying</a>" that affirms all that I think about why war and military occupation is not the answer. </p>
<p>I appreciate that these young people in Israel have found a way to share the message of what war and military occupation has done to them and continues to haunt them. Are their manifestations of this in other countries? I think yes.
