SAVE BIG BIRD! OCCUPY EARTH NEXT STEP

SAVE BIG BIRD!

As the Denver Post reported the Ultimate Moment in the 2012 Denver 1st Debate was "The Bull versus The Matador."  I emotionally support President Obama's predicament as a distant observer and wonder where is the matador in this emergent storyline?  News pundit's exploded from all sides in political outraged rhetoric for his populist…

Fellow Fools, Come Closer!

Fellow fools, come closer!

Earlier this week, I wrote and published an essay entitled “Fools! A Cry of Hope!” that has elicited a response I scarcely could have anticipated.  First published on the Northern Rockies Independent Media…

Wells Fargo and the Loss of Our Voices: One Anarchist's View

In weeks past, I have – in my capacity as a member of Occupy Bozeman – written about many of the reasons why you should get your money out of big banks – particularly Wells Fargo – as part of a divestment campaign we are waging against the bank. That campaign continues…

Next for the Occupy Movement: Target and Drive Corporate Shills Out of Congress

Just read this re-post from Op Ed News on the #Occupy Wall Street: New York City General Assembly website.  I couldn't agree more, that the teeth of this movement need to sink themselves into Congress.  The politicians that do the bidding of corporate interests can only operate if we 1. put them there; 2. allow them to stay.  It makes sense that Congress is the most vulnerable link in the chain of execution for continued consolidation of corporate power and control in our flagging…

Occupy That!

Occupy squares, parks, streets, neighborhoods, cities;

Occupy churches, mosques, synagogues, temples;

Occupy driving rain, wind, snow, biting cold;

Occupy exhaustion, aggravation, stress;

Occupy frustrations, doubts, fears, jeers, tears, cheers;

Occupy lamestream, sold-out-media lies;

Occupy water cannons, flashbangs, tear gas;

Occupy batons, beatings, bullets, bloodshed;

Occupy the kleptonomy's police-state;

Occupy lying, venal…

The Occupy Railroad

Thanks to a blog "Linked To The Land" by a friend of mine in the A New Gaia community (also on Ning), my receptivity was opened as I posted in comment for her blog.

However, your quiet benevolent thinking Judi, about community has led me in a "new" direction today.  I read this blog over brunch after yoga.  Had I been…

It's Time for the 99% To Occupy the Occupy Movement

Many of us Northern Californians are familiar with the wise-cracking, wise-guy affectionately know as Swami Beyondananda, aka Steve Bhaerman, and his lovely consort Trudy Trueheart.  Steve's ability to lighten up weighty subjects has brought relief to many a soul.  Thanks for keeping the light lit,…

Message from Minister Pepper Sprayed in Seattle

A PASTORAL LAMENT FOR MY COUNTRY

America, America, my country ‘tis of thee,

Sweet land of liberty

Of thee I sing

America, oh America

America the Beautiful has fallen.

You could feel the tension and raw energy crinkling throughout the air as the marchers once again began their journey into downtown Seattle.   The Occupy Movement is the prophetic voice of God calling out to the nation to “repent” and turn from its…

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
