An open space for global conversation
Economy of scale acquires wonderful new meaning when permaculture design manages to transcend the sorts of discrete, privately-owned sites typical of urban and suburban areas.

I agree - I especially like the curriculum for Ecovillage Design Education, developed by an international network of ecovillages, to provide a holistic perspective to neighborhood organization. It is rooted in Permaculture and balances the social, economic, and environmental aspects, and also includes a segment on worldview which, as someone on another thread mentioned, is crucial as we move forward. I can imagine these topics being a great format for the conversation and collaboration.
A report from a friend includes a vision of neighborhood occupation. You can learn a lot from him and can meet him, at the site where the report is posted.
