Event Description

On January 15, 2012 there will be a global day of action within the Occupy and the Real Democracy movement: see facebook event.

I don't believe that demonstrations how we have practiced them in the last century  can lead to long-term change processes. However, I believe in the potential of connections and change processes based on dialogues in public spaces. Now, this is my contribution to the global day of action on January 15, 2012.

Inspired by the 1000 tables in Israel and the discussion circles on Tahrir Square, I suggest to organize some Flashmob Dialogue Circles on Sunday, January 15, 2012 between 2pm and 3pm CET.

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
