It's Time for the 99% To Occupy the Occupy Movement

Many of us Northern Californians are familiar with the wise-cracking, wise-guy affectionately know as Swami Beyondananda, aka Steve Bhaerman, and his lovely consort Trudy Trueheart.  Steve's ability to lighten up weighty subjects has brought relief to many a soul.  Thanks for keeping the light lit,…

Thanks for the opportunity to share.  Here is a thought about a collaborative opportunity.  A friend of mine and I have worked in International Development for many years.  As the world is changing to leaps and bounds so too our industry needs to look into the future and imagine how we need to do things now.  After much discussion and lots of research, we have come to the conclusion is that for all nations to reach a level of development that enables their citizens to have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, there are three key pieces that need to be integrated and in some kind of balance.  These three pieces are Human Capital, Technology, and Natural Resources.  The forces that are outside of this and difficult to control are natural disasters.   We think that  there is a backdrop of human consciousness that will result in a global mindset that is will inspire the balance that we are talking about.  I would love to have collaborators to help us further develop this and discover how and where we might use it.

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
