We met Steven at Occupy Wall Street, where he was getting ready to host a teach-in on our personal and collective beliefs about money, and immediately loved his energy.  A former self-described "corporate hack" and psychotherapist, the author of An Extra Year: Grief and Loss in the New Age, he has been occupying more or less daily since October 8th and has attended almost all the GAs over that time.

Steven can be found here at Occupy Cafe, at www.SpiritualWorkout.com and on Facebook's Spiritual Workout page, which he describes thusly:

The soul's perspective of life is what the Spiritual Workout is all about. Its method is the relentless application of these ancient and universally spiritual concepts to the nitty gritty of everyday life: Be Compassionate • Beliefs Matter • Be Present • Choices Abound • Everything is Energy • Have An Attitude of Gratitude • Intentions Matter • Judgments Separate Us • Listen to Inspiration • Mind and Body Are Connected • Take Responsibility • The Law of Attraction is Always On • We Are All Connected • We Are Here for a Reason • We Belong to the Planet, Not the Planet to Us. That's it! It's a unique and compelling form of personal development work that is completely non-religious and utterly practical.

Steven has also just started the Spiritual Workout for the Occupation page on FB, and we invite you all to go there RIGHT NOW and "like" that sucker!

The "law of attraction" is ON indeed, Steven!  We are thrilled and honored to have you as Occupy Cafe's very first conversation starter!

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
