I would like to know what other area's are doing in regards to 'smaller groups' (75 or less) as far as group dynamics and educating the group on those issues?  We have had a bit of a disturbance in that some of the members want to break off on their own, people being uncivil to each other but no 'one' to call them out on that because then the 'leaderless' aspect comes in to play.  Obviously, "You're not the boss of me" type attitude.  Also, drug usage among people "camping".  Has anyone had to deal with how to accept or reject that behavior?

I have noticed the ages of the cooler heads but the younger people see the older of the 99% as part of the problem.  They want change as much as we do but you have to give them credit on the issues of Occupy not being an organization but an organic movement (an organism if you will).  They don't see facilitators and moderators as needing experience of age to be effective, but they can't see the A.D.D. from the inside looking out.  My opinon.  They/We/All need direction on how to do this not based on any prior knowledge of how to do this!  And please don't use civil disobedience in a reply....it's annoying to me to have a set of 'rules' of how to be disobedient, I do believe in being non-violent, using diplomacy, and having some tact.

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
