What comes to mind when you think of freedom?  What are the conditions you might imagine, remember or know that you require in order to experience freedom?

The #occupy movement is fueled by numerous ideas and ideals that demand freedom from oppression, freedom to occupy public space, freedom to occupy "the commons", freedom to grow food and collect seed, freedom to learn, to drive, to vote, to speak, to drink clean water and breath clean air; freedom to dissent and demand recourse for injustice.

To what degree is that sweet experience we call freedom available right now?

This is the journey on which we will embark during our Occupy Heart call.  There is territory which is eternally sovereign to each and every human, where freedom can be found in spite of the harshest circumstances.  With the doorway to this realm open, we can meet our challenges with greater presence – greater personal and collective power.

From this inner spaciousness, we access creativity and courage that insures our success, no matter the outcome.  Our most potent freedom lies in knowing how to shift our nervous systems from fear and reactivity to Love and responsiveness.  More than ever, this is a resource that will serve us well.

I'm going to share a technology I've developed and taught over the past 15 years.  What I love is that you can instantly utilize it to make a difference in your life.  As with everything, there's an unending spiral to mastery, but even a drop can transform.

Let's occupy this freedom together and see what miracles we might create.

Much ALOHA ~

Thank you, Jitendra and Ben and Eric and y'all who were on the call this afternoon. My word for my experience is "sweet". After the call, I found myself free to make myself a smoothie I had never tried before: 1 banana, 8 hazel nuts, 1/4 cup raw sesame seeds, 1/2 sweet potato that had been partially cooked in the fireplace, and 1 cup hemp milk !!!! So when I got in touch with my body, my ability to experiment with good thinking and gumption went up. Just as each of you is the only one of you in my entire universe, so I do believe that this is the only sesame seed sweet potato banana etc. smoothie in the world! Of course it may not have the same arrangements of wonderful genomes that y'all have, yet it is delicious.

Aloha, y'all! May y'all's occupyin' be sweet, Bless your hearts, and special thanks to anyone who contributes to sharing the many truths about our Governor Perry that need to be heard!

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
