definition: Common Ground - a basis agreed to by all parties for reaching a mutual understanding.

Can you think of a more blissful experience than engaging a fellow member of our human race in an impassioned conversation true to your heart—and they're right there with you?  What are the emotions and feelings coursing through your body while in a state of profound resonance of heart, mind, spirit—and ideology?

If only we could have that experience with everyone?  All those people out there would have to do is agree with us!

Or do they?

Divided we fall, united we stand...what will we choose for our future?

What experiences have you had in your own life where you landed on common ground, yet never actually agreed?

Based on your experience, what might be some portals (gateways) to common ground?

How might you imagine #Occupy supporters discovering Common Ground with people who appear to oppose the movement?"

Let's deepen our journey into common ground.  There is an ever-rising tide of fear surrounding the rapid erosion of civil and human rights.  Our power lies in our ability, capacity, desire and willingness to realize/remember:

  • That we are already one body
  • Who we are actually, as powerful, sovereign beings
  • We are infinitely more powerful in Love than in fear (recover our nervous systems from internal & external divisions)
  • We are unstoppable as a whole when we acknowledge, believe and behave as the whole that we are

Looking forward to more of your voice, your heart and your indomitable spirit...

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
