You are invited to create a local "satellite" gatherings to participate in #Natgat even if you can't be in Philadelphia. In this way, you can participate in an in-person group dialogue that is also part of the larger OC @ #NatGat conversation.

A menu of our conversation topics is posted here, so you can coordinate your discussions with those happening on the ground and in other locations (if you choose!). You can also suggest topics here, although given our limited time, we apologize that we cannot guarantee that these suggestions will make it onto the menu.

If you schedule it at the same time as one of our gatherings at The Friends Center, you can connect directly to our conversation there via MaestroConference.  You can also choose to  hold your gathering at a different time and then connect into the overall conversation by posting a "harvest" of your group's conversation here on this thread.

A note about "harvests:" these are not a consensus statement, but rather a collection of the individual views and experiences of participants.  No decision is being made!  Some classic questions to consider are:

  • What struck you about the conversation you just had?
  • What surprised or challenged you?
  • What insights did you have?
  • What deeper questions emerged?
  • What was missing from this conversation?
  • What is taking shape here?  What are we hearing underneath the variety of opinions being expressed?  What is "in the center" of our listening? (thanks to The World Cafe for this "question for all seasons")
