About Discovery:

People find themselves moved to their highest potential, discover unseen common ground and compelled to express their gifts when sharing stories of inspiration and vision. 

Discovery is the first phase of the Connect 2012 mass mobilized Appreciative Inquiry (A.I.) initiative.  One-to-one interview exchanges create opportunities to build connections and energy, share stories of peak experiences and articulate your personal vision around the possibilities we have gathered to explore..

Start Your Interview Process:

Register: In order to receive or give an interview, you must complete your Connect 2012 registration, profile and the Pre-Interview Questionnaire [click here if you would like detailed instructions]. 

Who is eligible? Interviews can be exchanged with another member of Occupy Cafe or any person in your life you feel inspired to share this process with.

Finding an Occupy Cafe interview partner: 

1. Send a message to an Occupy Cafe friend
2. Connect with someone via a forum discussion
3. Ask a group member
4. Attend an Occupy Cafe "meet and greet" call specifically designed to connect people for the Connect 2012 initiative
5. Email us, telling us you'd like an interview partner and we'll find someone for you.

Receiving an interview:
It's easy! Connect via phone, Skype or in person.  Your interviewer, logged in to THEIR Connect 2012 account, will locate you in the database and open your interview page in their account.  They will ask you questions from the Interview Part 3 and scribe your answers for you, saving as they go.  (We discourage interviewing yourself.  This initiative is all about connection!)

That's it!  When you've completed you interview, check your profile and be certain you have set your privacy settings and your interview is switched on for public viewing in order for it to be seen by the public.

Conducting an interview:

1. Sign In to your Connect 2012 account
2. Click "Create a New Interview"
3. Enter your interviewee by email or name
4. Check interviewee's Profile (Part 1) and Pre-Interview Questionnaire (Part 2) for completion
5. Be sure to click "Save questionnaire response" at bottom of Part 2 so that Part 3, the main interview, appears.
6. Conduct the interview, asking question by question. Click the "Save" button to the right of the answer fields frequently. 
7. Either you or your interviewee can access the interview to edit or clean it up.
8. You're done!
9. To be a vital part of mass mobilizing Connect 2012, simply think of 3 people you could interview and send them an invitation to register...
