I'm active with Occupy Sarasota of Sarasota, Fl. We, however, have some of the most strict city limit camping and sleeping laws in the country and can only have people get out when they have the chance and organize a weekly GA. Our GAs are on Saturdays @ 11AM at our 5 Points Park on the corner of Main and Pineapple.

I've also had the great pleasure of being involved in Occupy Florida. Ive been to our first GA on the weekend of December 11th 2011 where we started our First document to presnet to the Florida Legeslature on thier first day of Session January 10th 2012. I was able to make it to Occupy Tallahassee where they hosted our second Occupy Florida Event to present that.

What draws you to Occupy Cafe?
Hello, my name is Brandon Crozier in Sarasota, Florida and active with Occupy Sarasota. It is always important to remember your family at home and yourself. This leads me to think about my new project. I need to get back home to Sandpoint, Idaho with at least passing through my hometown of Riverside, California and I know how I'm going to do it :-) I am going to leave on the 6th month anniversary of occupy, about a week before spring starts. I'm going to start in Tampa, go to the SE Regional Convergence in Gainsville on the 23rd and spend the spring going around the Occupations all over the Nation moving people and supplies where they need to go; ending at Occupy Sandpoint. :-) If anybody has suggestions for my trip, I think I want to go with starting an official URL and opening up communication with me and the Occupation Nationally. If I can set up a good system of communication then Occupations that know I'm close can ask for help needed. One Occupation could ask me to come through to pickup someone or something that needs to get to another Occupation, Location, Etc.

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
