A third of the country is generally content with the status quo (conservative). Another third are preoccupied with getting more hours or more customers or clients. The remaining third has a shockingly high unemployment rate, and shrinking opportunities for good middle class jobs. I believe there is consensus forming around how to make things better, but it won't happen unless a majority of the 99 agree. And that requires work and being in community with people of differing views. I think that can be done on aGREATER.US.
I believe the calls to action are getting urgent because the next election is already over. One of the duopoly parties will be elected to every seat in Congress, funded by corporate money (profit's and nonprofit's) and nothing will change. Unless we organize around one or two or three ideas/bills with at least supermajority support of the 99, what I call the 66, and we demand passage. (the 99 has a huge number of conservatives in it) I've built a free platform to do just that at www.aGREATER.US. I invite the 99 to submit bills, rate ideas, submit constructive op-eds on them, and see what WE want (based on a bipartisan rating system).
