I was on two national #OccupyWallStreet phone calls today.

I was on two national #OccupyWallStreet  phone calls today.

The first was put on by OccupyCafe.org and had about 40 67 people on it, most of whom were not very 26 of whom identified themselves as active in their local Occupy groups, but were inspired by the movement. You can read more at their website.

The second was for local groups. Many of the folks on the line had a circle of people sitting around their phones,

so the 60 lines encompassed perhaps 120 people.

Both calls will have followup calls, this week or next. Both calls went well, and folks are hungry for followup and communication.

How to do phone calls again?
Much discussion follows.

Changing the Game; has worked with Coffee Party

Someone will be sending out notes from this phone call, with everyone's email contact.
Another phone call will be organized by the folks who pressed 5 to indicate their willingness to do so.

Call ended around midnight.

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
