Event Description | The Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.--An afternoon bus tour led by the great civil rights activist and oral historian of the South Side, Timuel D. Black, and covering sites connected with Martin Luther King's work in Chicago, which was partly organized by Prof. Black. The tour will also stop by the RainbowPush coalition for a discussion with other civil rights leaders with a profound knowledge of Dr. King's work. Following the tour, there will be an (optional) demonstration class by the adult learners in the Odyssey Project, who will be discussing one of Dr. King's late speeches. |
