We're pleased to have Bob Klotz, of Occupy Portland and member of the Occupy Maine TV broadcast team.

Bob has witnessed #Occupy groups across the state of Maine lose their cohesiveness and ability to work together.  Maine has its unique geographical challenges, however, he has pointed to the struggles of people to effectively communicate among themselves, particularly in general assembly settings, that has led to many people walking away in frustration.

Many feel this spring offers tremendous opportunity.  How might we meet and transform our challenges into movement strengths?

As winter thaws into spring, these questions arise, "Where do we go from here?"and "Can we better collaborate hearts and minds to produce effective results?"

We'll hear from Bob, and others across the movement, on the challenges of community governance.  We'll also hear from Ron Czecholinsky on Sociocracy, aka Dynamic Governance, and how it's helping GA's across the country be far more inclusive and effective—and why.

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
