ALWAYS REPLACE YOUR HARD DRIVE EVERY TWO YEARS!!!

If you are reading this message you are part of the resistance.

My computer is 100% up to power now after my 3-year-old hard drive went kaput. I'm back up using a smaller spare drive that I had stored away. Yesterday morning I worked on my system at 3:00 a.m. and had it back up before 4:30 a.m. The rest of the day after work was spent on fine tuning. I will be using this computer sparingly until I get a bigger drive at Best Buy this weekend, meaning no graphics programs.

Before my drive fully crashed, I was able to save all my important files.

I heard rumors a few weeks ago that malware was infecting computers of individuals involved in the Occupy Movement. This was not the case with my system. Careful scanning and updating were performed on a regular basis. I knew the drive for some time was going bad, but due to the economy I tried to make it last until after Christmas. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed.

I keep a personal rule to replace hard drive every two years because some of the parts wear down due to constant use. I was neglective and paid the price. Don't let this happen to you. Money is getting tighter these days however some spending on parts is necessary even if you think you don't need them.

Remember to keep fighting in faith. We're all in this together and hope is all not lost. Fate is what we make it.

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
