What you see in my title has one meaning. What you hear in it has another. I will address both meanings.

If you are un- or underemployed, you would like, and may often dream of, a new, more authentic and secure foundation for living.  You would like, and may often dream of, giving your best in a setting characterized by individuals giving their distinctive bests.  You are very weary of reading and hearing that people are lazy, ignorant and indifferent, concerned primarily about how others regard them.  You know you are not like that.  You know your self-concept and your love are key.  You are fairly certain that if your gifts are un- or undervalued and un- or underappreciated, then many people around you are undervalued and underappreciated, as well.  It's inconceivable or at least a great stretch to believe, that the phenomenon is precisely focused on oneself.  Too much evidence indicates the condition is not yours alone.

Beginning with the contributions of beings possessing chlorophyll, production is an authentic and secure foundation for living.  A culture of life-affirming production and gifting is a culture of wealth.  Health is wealth.  To heal is to make whole.  Design is what healers and producers do.  Design is results-oriented decision-making.  Design is results-oriented choosing.  Choices and decisions enable healing and producing.  If one can choose and decide, one can design.

The ones called designers complete results-oriented projects for others, sometimes producing no more than a plan or process (not to diminish either of those).  During transition, many will need such assistance, but value exchange often will have to be improvised.  Sometimes value exchange will be a process requiring time (weeks! months!).  Can you imagine being flexible in that regard?

What's your choice?  What's your decision?

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
