Just pulled this off the "Occupy Live Feed"http://occupylive.org/#/stories/446c646d6f5a754b4d63724cwww.occupyc...

To me all along this has been the real threat of the darcpnian police provisions President Obama has just agreed to go along with ( witholding veto)

When I witnessed those young eople taking pepper spray I had this ahunating sense that our police have been preparig for an training against any backlash by us..what else is "crown control" about?

I still haven't seen coverage of todays demstrations  against the Presidents support for the detain without cause police state provisions o f our Mr "si se puede" President condones.

His si se puede and ours do not converge.

This is the line in the sand we who are calling for radical change cannot tolerate..must rise specifically and loudly against.

si se puede

Here is more on the London Policedecalration of Occupy as a Terrorits Organization includig a quote from the actual Police document

The document was given to protesters at their “Bank of Ideas” base on Sun Street – a former site of financial corporation UBS. City police have stepped up an effort to quell the movement since they occupied the building on 18 November, with the document stating: “It is likely that activists aspire to identify other locations to occupy, especially those they identify with capitalism.

“Intelligence suggests that urban explorers are holding a discussion at the Sun Street squat. This may lead to an increase in urban exploration activity at abandoned or high profile sites in the capital.” The Occupy movement is listed alongside threats posed by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC), Al Qaeda and Belarusian terrorists"

How ridiculous and there is no logic in calling them terrorists,, this spontaneous rise called Occupy are peacefully representing the 99% of UK population, who would they terrorise,  themselves?  Now the 1% mmmn, yes... perhaps terrorism might be an apt description.

I agree with you Gael but it is a act that the London Police have made that decalaration ( did you see the actual document in the link I posted?)

London has a long tradition of massive peaceful protests..my Aunt & Uncle were bot very involved on all te ban the bomb rallies and marches.  Igotthe idea that they were never badly treaed by police and were teated as people assembling with the proyection of freedom of speech.. Of course that was pre trroism in lOndon ( the Irish bombings etc.  What is the mood in London..are people fearful of all large protets?  Are people wary of Occupyu?

"Happy Birthday Occupy Wall Street ... thoughts on Year One"

Fifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why ... not so much. You…See More
