An open space for global conversation
Since 1st observing the Occupy movement last Oct,2011 & participating in the Occupy movement on june29th-the5th of July I started my own movement in my city called Northeast Philadelphia Movement towards change.
My goal is to have everyone take more responsibility for their communities than just complaining. Since June1,2012. I've order flyers to hand out in my community of Philadelphia. I also bought to Trash cans have out on the street so people walking by can use them to…

Getting money out of politics really starts at the grass roots level. We have to make our congresspeople accountable for their actions.
There is a three step process for getting money out of politics in your congressional district:
1. Watch this video that shows what to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bRsXWsmRpE
2. Follow…

Actions can be confusing sometimes. We live with so many concepts, things like: charity, prayer, mercy, discipline, wellness...but what do any of these things really mean? How can we live these concepts in our day to day lives? We obviously have to bear in mind that certain values are more appropriately manifested in particular times and ways than in other times and ways. For example, you see someone on the street, dressed in a business suit, rushing around. You don't know anything about…

ContinueFifteen years ago, I ran across a book, "100 Most Influential People in History," during one of my dalliances to my local Marin County bookstore. "Influential People" was one man's assessment on exactly that. But how he determined his rankings was the interesting part. They weren't always the reasons you would think. But after thinking about it, they made complete sense. For example:
George Washington was ranked in the top 40 of all time. Understandable. But the reason why…

What do we do next? The question for revolutionaries in North America is to figure out how to activate the anaesthetized. But why are we anaesthetized?
There is a realization, at least to some extent, that we are the ones responsible for the global ills; the reification of individualism and the exporting of capitalism and ‘democracy’, yet the vast majority of people are too ‘comfortable’ to do anything more than nod their head when presented with the…

Of course, it is not that my cat merely sits all day and all night in a deep deep state of self fulfilling bliss. She eats, she runs around, and together, we play with string. When we begin to play, she is often uncertain; does she want to step into this cycle, does she not? She begins to bat, and eventually to catch the string, then repeatedly. Maybe she feels rewarded for this, as she lifts her head to my hand, string under her paw.
It is not that she doesn't 'enjoy'. Enjoyment must…

From what I understand, the space race was about whether the U.S. or the U.S.S.R was the most disciplined, if discipline meant creating durable vessels for humans to go somewhere other than the planet which sustains life. So basically we flew up into space, and planted our flag. I think we won, but I might be mistaken. Anyways, there is no U.S.S.R anymore so we either won, or definitely lost, depending on whether or not it is good to remain, which seemed to be a question in the space race:…

ContinueHello friends. Welcome to the New Pony Story.
Let's look at some animals, and think about them a little bit, in relation to our present circumstances. There are quite a few questions here.
This is a batfish. It freely floats around the ocean, basically whenever it wants to. Nobody wants to capture it, because it is so astoundingly ugly. It is…
